Cultural Invasion?

You know its funny, I constantly see on the news Muslims in other parts of the world burning things that they believe symbolize the West in some way. For example, recently there were the news clips of Muslims burning Valentines cards. What is the point in this kind of behavior? Doesn't the Qur'an tell us not to make fun of the gods of other religions so that they wont make fun of our religion? Yeah, it does 6:108. And how many times does the Qur'an tell us that false gods cannot help or hurt us? Yeah, more times than I'm willing to count right now too. So, have we as a people become so weak that we can't even stand up to letting other people have their religion. We as Muslims are held to a higher standard in the eyes of Allah than any other people, because we are on true guidance. We need to really read Surah Al-Kafirun(109). We are told to tell the disbelievers that we are disassociated with what they worship, and they are disassociated with what we worship. They have their religion, and we have The Religion. When we lower ourselves to the level of burning Valentines Day cards, then I think...well...maybe we have bigger things to worry about than some kind of Western cultural invasion.
